Alesis strike pro se hi hat setup12/24/2023 ![]() ![]() The size of the drums/cymbals cant be beat.Īnyway, thanks for your advice and your time. ![]() Has anyone with this set found a DAW that worked for them in MIDI with just plug and play? Or at least very MINIMAL adjustments needed? I would say that this issue almost makes Roland worth the extra dough in some situations, though even with the new Roland kits that just came out, the 17 etc, I am still very happy with my choice. This isn’t a huge deal for certain instruments like the Toms and snare as they can be remapped, however the hi hats are really a pain in the but to be remapped because of the pedal controls and the different sounds as you open close etc. however, I find that when I use DAW’s like addictive drums 2, the midi mapping is always wrong. I have the alesis strike pro, and am very happy with it’s quality, performance, sound etc. Either way, Strike Pro SE is sure to have plenty of variety and versatility on tap.I have scoured the internet but cannot seem to find anyone with a similar problem to what I have encountered, or if they have I have found no response to it. It's also possible that Alesis will keep the SE content, well, special, and keep it exclusive to the SE kit. There's no indication as of yet that the additional content will be available in an update for existing Strike users, but that could be a possibility in the future. Although higher-end kits often use dual-pad hi-hats, Alesis describes this single-cymbal arrangement as setting "a new e-standard for fast response, solidity and amazing ability to convey a deft, subtle touch." Aside from the hi-hat update, Strike Pro SE's cymbal complement mirrors the Strike Pro's, with a 16-inch triple-zone ride and three 14-inch chokeable crashes.Īt release, the Strike Performance Module that ships with Strike Pro SE will include a sound library of over 1,800 multi-sampled drum and percussion instruments arranged in 136 custom kits, compared to the current Strike Pro's 1,600-plus instruments and 110 kits. Alesis has changed the design from a dual-cymbal setup to a single-cymbal version that uses a new moveable hi-hat system. You'll also find that Strike Pro SE has upgraded from a 12-inch hi-hat to a 14-inch one. Not only does the full-size kick provide the the visual presence of an acoustic drum set, it responds and feels like an acoustic bass drum: "solid and sturdy, with no wobble." With a quote-unquote "real" bass drum added into the mix of wood-shell tom and snare pads, Strike Pro SE steps up the electronic drumming experience to another level of familiarity and realism. Let's dive in and take a look at what makes Strike Pro SE special.įirst and foremost, Strike Pro SE has swapped out the standard Strike Pro's 14-inch kick tower for a full-size 20-inch mesh-head bass drum. However, upon further inspection, it becomes clear that it delivers a number of compelling feature upgrades and improvements as well. Now, Alesis is back with Strike Pro SE, a sharp-looking kit that at first glance may appear to offer just a few cosmetic enhancements. When Alesis released the original Strike Pro Kit a few years ago, it shook up the electronic drumming world with an unprecedented combination of sound, feel, features, and presentation for its price point. ![]() Much More than a Cosmetic Upgrade, This Special Edition Kit Offers Compelling Updates to the Original ![]()

Stockpile investments inc12/24/2023 ![]() So the person who gets the gift has to open a brokerage account to use it to get that $25 piece of Berkshire Hathaway you were so excited to give. But Stockpile is actually handling the stock side of things through a registered broker dealer, Stockpile Investments, Inc. ![]() On that front, it's easy for you, anyway. As you might guess, I'm not fan of that type of gift card, either, since I'm essentially paying $55 for the privilege of giving someone $50-I'll just write a check, thanks.īeyond cost, you'll also want to think about just how easy a Stockpile "stock" gift card is. the Visa gift card is worth $50, but you'll have to pay $5 or so to buy it. In many ways it's similar to buying a Visa gift card at a store. To be fair, the fees being charged are covering more than just trading costs, since Stockpile has to pay for all of the infrastructure that supports its business. True, you might need more than $25 to open an account for Junior and there are likely to be more headaches involved in the process, but I'd be loath to pay what amounts to a trading commission of that scale for anything. That's a huge cost, particularly when some brokers are willing to give away free trades for new business. Give the gift online and the cost falls to around $3.75, an almost 15% "commission." ![]() That's a very positive way of framing what amounts to a nearly 20% "commission" on a $25 gift card. The idea is that, as the gift giver, you are taking on all the costs for the gift, like trading commissions, so the recipient won't have any impediment to their stock ownership. Online at Stockpile's website you can get a card for $2.99 plus 3% of the card value. Only the reality of the fine print tarnishes the idea.įirst off, according to the Journal, that $25 gift card will cost you $4.95 to buy in the store (a $50 card costs $6.95 and the $100 version will cost you $7.95). A Stockpile gift card hits right at that desire. Maybe you wish someone had done that for you - or, if you were lucky, maybe someone did. How wonderful would it be to buy your grandchild just a little bit of Berkshire Hathaway? Set the kid off on the right foot, get them started in investing early. ![]() And there are larger cards, too, if you are feeling more generous. The word "stock" and the name of the company are emblazoned across the card, so you know what you are getting (and don't mix one of these cards up with, say, a $25 gift card to eat at Chipotle). A customer can then pick up a $25 gift card for IBM ( IBM) or Disney ( DIS) or even Berkshire Hathaway ( BRK.B). The company sells "stock" gift cards in local retailers like a grocery or office supply store. In the end, I found that the idea sounds great but there are so many drawbacks that I think most should avoid Stockpile's "stock" gift cards. So when I read in The Wall Street Journal about stock "gift" cards being offered by a new company called Stockpile, I just had to find out more. I love learning about new ideas and I love finance. ![]()

Time out west brookfield ma12/24/2023 ![]() ![]() Our dinner was in the barn room and was perfect. Our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour and remained close by for picture opportunities with us. After the ceremony we remained outside where there were incredible opportunities for pictures with many beautiful backdrops. Our ceremony was on the grounds, which are picture perfect. We could not have done this without them. Donna, Nancy and Heather’s expertise, professionalism and attention to detail was a tremendous asset. This was extremely helpful and we hired all from this list. A preferred vendor list was provided by Salem Cross Inn that provided the names for all wedding related services. Thank you again Nancy, Donna, and the whole Salem Cross Inn staff for all of your hard work and true dedication to all you do. Consider planning your wedding with the Salem Cross Inn, I promise it will not disappoint. ![]() There is no surprise that the Salem Cross Inn continues to be ranked as a top Knot venue. If that doesn't speak volumes of their flexibility and kindness, I don't know what does! I only wish that I had the ability to rate this venue above 5 stars, because they truly deserve it. They quickly moved our table seating arrangement into the main restaurant, and shut down their additional business just so we had the space to host our wedding. S (like having our dog in our wedding ceremony), they made sure every aspect of our wedding was covered (even providing us with a great preferred vendor list), and they were quick to respond EVERY TIME! Even despite a rough start to the morning for both our wedding party and the venue (a car running straight through the barn doors of the venue) didn't slow them down. The wedding happening there last night sounded like a great time!ĭon’t hesitate to check this venue out for your special day! We saw Nancy who is still making her guests happy with attention to detail! It was a magical day, and last night we had dinner there to celebrate our anniversary. Our elderly family members needed to stay warm, but still see the ceremony so Nancy made them comfortable at the window just inside. We were married outside under a huge oak tree, they now have a gazebo for ceremonies with the rolling hills in the background. The morning of our wedding was a cold one, unusually so for early October. Everything was delicious and the wedding party was offered more of any of the meal items they wanted. They offered, notice I didn’t have to ask, to make the potatoes skins seasoned and the butternut squash more spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar. I remember choosing the baked potato and butternut squash to accompany the fireside roasted prime rib. The food was oh so good! They even took extra steps to make everything served a little more special. Including a room for me and my bridesmaids to get ready in before the ceremony.Ī fall wedding here is just what we wanted! The beautiful scenery only added to the atmosphere of an old New England inn. ![]()

Motherboard is an ASUS Z170-AR Specs here: ( \_33009G.html), and it appears it can be used for a Hackintosh: 4. Case is by Phanteks, but I haven't figured out the model yet. ![]() Of course that doesn't mean that he couldn't enjoy everything "around" the "act" like foreplay and various kinky stuff, but Rimuru has a slime's phisology, which doesn't really have a sex drive. Rimuru would lose all his powers if he had his way, so too bad, but he can't risk the actual "act". Such a thing doesn't happen to two humans getting a child though. If both parents are monsters/majin it drains both parents and makes the resulting child even stronger as a result, while if only one of the parents is a monster/majin and the other parent a human, then only the monster/majin parent gets depowered but not the human parent. Unlike Benimaru, Shion didn't need to have offspring as a requirement to evolve into a Demon Lord presumably because it would be pointless (Shion only has eyes for Rimuru and most males are too scared to make a move). In the lore of this franchise a super high-leveled monster or majin having sex, that results in offspring, powers the parents (doesn't affect human parents) down to "regular weak human"-powerlevel or outright kills the parents (again, doesn't affect human parents). This may be due to Shion's mischievous and battle ready personality. Upon Rimuru's evolution to Demon Lord making all his Named subordinates evolve, Shion is the only Kijin to evolve into a different possibility from the others becoming a Wicked Oni, rather a Mystic Oni.To remedy this, Rimuru tricked her into using a regular knife by giving it as a gift taking advantage of her devotion to him. Contraction timing early labor12/24/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() When your contractions come every five or six minutes, it's a good indication that you need to go to the hospital, however, it's a good idea to call your healthcare provider once you notice the first signs of labour, such as your water breaking. If they are, it could be time to go to the hospital!Īt what point should you go to the hospital? Keep doing this for an hour to see if you can spot whether your contractions are getting closer together. Write down how long the contraction lastsĪs soon as the next contraction begins do the same and work out the time between your first contraction and the second (this will give you the ‘frequency' of your contractions) Write down the time you experience your first contraction ‘You don’t have to time them all the way through the labour process as the main purpose of timing them is to determine if you’re actually in labour so once you know the answer – then you can stop.’ Here's how to time your contractions: Start timing your contractions as soon as you’ve had two or three and they seem quite regular. ‘If you’ve had one or two, wait for the third – by then you’ll know if it’s real!,’ says Cheryl MacDonald, founder of Birth Rocks. However, it’s important to remember that there isn’t a set pattern so don’t worry if they’re not regular. However, if your contractions are true, we’re afraid they won’t go away with movement they’ll feel stronger and increase in frequency over time. If your contractions are false they should eventually be able to go away with a little movement they’ll be irregular and won’t increase in frequency over time. It’s important to time your contractions as it can help you determine whether your labour contractions are true or false ( Braxton Hicks). Read more: What do contractions *really* feel like? As you get further along, they’ll become stronger, more frequent and last longer. Contractions can last anywhere between 40 to 50 seconds and you may experience them every 10 minutes during early labour. The pain may begin in your lower back and move towards your stomach or stay in your back area – it’s different with each woman. They can often feel like a mix between really bad period pains and constipation. The closer your contractions are together, the closer you are to giving birth.hooray! What are contractions?Ĭontractions are when the muscles around your uterus tighten up then relax to help your baby move down the birth canal. Timing your contractions and keeping track of how often they happen can give you a better idea of what stage of labouryou’re at and let you know when it’s time to head to the hospital. Contractions aren’t the nicest sensation in the world, but each cramp is an indication that you’ll soon get to meet your baby. ![]() |
